Engaging our youth through exercise, play and teamwork.

Teens in motion (or TIM as the participants call it) is an after school drop-in sports program for students in grades 7-12. Students participate in a variety of sports, activities and games of their choosing in an informal/self-structured and supervised setting. It is a place for information sharing and socialization between classmates and friends.

As students are seeking and asking for more activities more often, the program runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-8pm, September to June, at the Ignace Recreation Complex. The program is organized so everyone can participate in what they choose with assistance and guidance given by our Health Promoter and volunteers. The current location is large enough to allow many activities to be held in the same space. Snacks and water are provided to the participants via donations to the program. Currently the program is being run in conjunction with the township of Ignace Recreation Department and is funded through donations from the community at large.
