Exercise at any age helps promote a healthy lifestyle.

The Ignace Seniors Exercise Program is geared towards older community members who want to experience the fun and social atmosphere of learning about stretching, flexibility, endurance and stability in an inviting and inclusive environment. The aim of the program is to engage the participant to foster integration of physical activity into their normal routine. We hope to inspire the love of exercising in a social environment.

The program is held at the Silver Tops and runs 45-60 minutes a session, 3 times a week and encourages all seniors no matter their fitness level to join. Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 11 am, September to July, seniors can drop-in and work at their own pace. Our Health Promotion officer is available to lend guidance and assistance as needed. Exercises are geared towards seniors, but anyone wanting to join would be considered.
