Strategic planning provides an opportunity for an organization to reflect on the past, celebrate successes, and look ahead to the future. Beginning in January 2025, Mary Berglund Community Health Centre’s Board of Directors and Executive Director began the process of refreshing the current strategic plan. From the outset, we believed it was essential to gather input directly from our stakeholders. It was important that our new strategic plan respond to the ongoing changing nature of the healthcare landscape, potential growth in the community and reflect the needs of our clients and community. To ensure that we had a comprehensive understanding of stakeholders’ views, we engaged clients, our youth, our seniors, our staff, volunteers, partners, donors and community members. We asked questions and listened deeply. Our goal was to develop a three-year strategic plan based on meaningful engagement, setting the foundation for a visionary and sustainable future. As part of the process, we undertook an analysis of our current programs and services, both our strengths and our areas of development.

We assessed current capacities, our opportunities, and our aspirations for growth. From this, we came together to map out our strategic directions for the next three years. We are deeply proud of our organization’s longstanding successes and look forward to a future full of potential – one in which the Mary Berglund Community Health Centre Hub continues to provide quality care and services that nurtures the wellbeing of our community, our clients and our team. By doing so, our organization will continue to grow its reputation as a vital partner within our community. We extend our gratitude to everyone who took the time to share their ideas with us. Together, we will continue in our mission of Care For All, which is rooted in the belief that health is a state of the best possible physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing.
